ACEP Outreach Team Makes School Visit

The ACEP Outreach Team paid a visit to Ms. Haas’ 1st grade class at the Watershed Charter School in Fairbanks last Friday.  As part of the AK Energy Smart Curriculum, Outreach and Marketing Manager Melody Cavanaugh-Moen led a presentation focused on energy efficiency by examining how animals and people stay warm during the Alaska winter.  As part of the visit, a collection of Arctic animal fur samples was brought along from the University of Alaska Museum of the North.  With the help of Program Assistants Marcia Cassino and Max Frey, the furs were presented to the children in small groups so they could see each sample up close.
