ACEP Research Engineer to Present at Teachers Conference in Unalakleet

ACEP Research Engineer, Jeremy Vandermeer, is in the western Alaska community of Unalakleet this week to attend a (BSSD) teacher’s conference on the impact of climate change on local lifestyles.

The conference is hosted by , an organization that seeks to provide Alaska Native students and their teachers with an accurate, culturally relevant science curriculum. Vandermeer will present on energy issues in Alaska and the different solutions that are being tested and implemented across the state. Among other events, school teachers from the BSSD will tour a fishery and power plant at Unalakleet.
