3D Tour Offers Remote Look Inside ACEP’s PSI Lab
A new 3D virtual tour of ACEP’s allows visitors to virtually walk around and learn more about its installed components.
The lab, located in the Energy Technology Facility, operates on the same scale as a village power system and has the ability to be modified for individual test scenarios.
The lab attracts hundreds of visitors annually who are interested in power systems integration, especially in remote microgrids. This 3D tour allows interested people who are unable to make it to Fairbanks to now tour the facility remotely.
The 3D tour allows virtual visitors to see the entire facility, with optional stops at components or features in the lab with detailed information.
For more information on the PSI lab or to organize an in-person tour, contact PSI Lab operations manager Heike Merkel at hmerkel@alaska.edu.
