New Website Details Food, Energy and Water Research in Alaska Communities
The National Science Foundation-funded four-year MicroFEWs program was established with the ultimate goal of developing a novel systems approach to understanding the linkages between renewable energy use and its downstream impacts upon food, energy and water security in remote Arctic and sub-Arctic communities.
A new website offers more detailed information, research goals, progress, and photos and videos developed during the research. Visit to meet the team, learn more about the communities, and to understand more about the research.
