New Reports Illuminate LED Market Assessment
Two reports were recently released on a LED, or light emanating diode, assessment conducted through a joint project by ACEP, the Cold Climate Housing Research Center, and the UAF Bristol Bay Campus.
The first report, “,” focuses on LED light life and light longevity. The second report, “,” focuses on the performance and economics of T8 LED lights, their illumination compared
to fluorescent lighting and LED replacement scenarios for public facilities.
The reports, funded by the Alaska Housing Finance Corp., Office of Naval Research
and the U.S. Department of Education, guide facilities managers choosing among the
thousands of linear LED lights on the market.
