Eloise Brown Joins AHERC Team
ACEP welcomes Eloise Petrone Brown to the Alaska Hydrokinetic Energy Research Center and teams.
Brown comes to us from her most recent position as a visiting faculty member in Marine and Environmental Sciences at . At ACEP, her work will focus on the collection and analysis of oceanographic field datasets and the evaluation of hydrokinetic resources driven by wave and river energy. She brings a strong background in oceanography and hydrodynamics, with experience teaching and conducting oceanographic and marine research across Alaska and in Western Australia, including analysis of in-situ observational datasets and physical modeling of wave hydrodynamics.
Brown will provide programming and data analysis support to existing ACEP and PMEC projects, including "A Predictive Model for Arctic Coastal Erosion" funded by , a central Beaufort Sea wave and hydrodynamic modeling study, and a Yakutat wave energy resource assessment.
Brown uses renewable bike and sled dog power for transportation, when she has energy. She lives in Anchorage, where she enjoys being active with her family and likes to be in the water.
