Launch Alaska Adds 10 Startups to its Portfolio
Anchorage-based accelerator, Launch Alaska announced the addition of 10 companies to their portfolio from their 6th cohort of its startup accelerator program, the 2020 Tech Deployment Track.
With this addition to their portfolio, Launch Alaska continues its mission to accelerate the resource revolution and foster climate resilience by partnering with early-stage companies; bringing globally scalable solutions to Alaska’s dynamic problem set.
The portfolio companies are building solutions to issues in multiple technology areas, from microgrid tech, electrification, and low-cost energy solutions, to indoor agriculture and projects mitigating coastal erosion; all of which contribute to the greater community and climate resilience in Alaska and beyond.
45% of the startups in their portfolio are in the renewable energy sector, 23% are addressing problem sets in water, 16% are focused on transportation, 3% on food, and the remaining 13% are focused on other sectors.
