Daisy Huang Joins Alaska Resource Education POWR Roundtable
Daisy Huang, ACEP’s assistant professor of energy, joined a talented line-up of women professionals last week to speak with girls from six high schools across the Anchorage School District as part of the roundtable discussion organized by .
The goal of POWR is to engage women in learning about careers in the natural resource industry and to be a part of the movement to shape a sustainable future for Alaska and beyond. POWR’s learning ecosystem is a career and project-based learning exploration for women in natural resources while providing earned elective credits.
Huang was among other “POWRful” women on this panel, including representatives from the ., , and .
“It was incredibly inspiring to be a part of this roundtable discussion with other incredible women in the natural resource field,” Huang said. “It was an honor to play a part in ‘emPOWRing’ future women scientists and engineers here in Alaska.”
