ACEP Is Delighted to Welcome George Reising to the Team

George Reising joins ACEP as a program developer and the Teaching Through Technology Alaska curriculum director. He is working on the development of the T3 curriculum and its implementation across several ACEP programs, such as the Kotzebue Innovation Hub and the programs.

He brings his passion in empowering students to strengthen their communities by connecting them with researchers and developing their skills. He wants to help them grow to take a leading role as “solutionaries” to the problems that are facing their communities.

Reising studied finance and worked as a systems analyst and a financial engineer in risk management before coming to Alaska. With a background as an educator in Seward and a naturalist guide in Halibut Cove, Reising brings broad perspectives to help future generations be problem-solvers.

As a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) educator, Reising played a key role in success of the NSF-funded and programs. He believes the T3 methodology is a vast improvement to the traditional curriculum, as it provides relevance, mindset and skills to students, and he wants to see T3 Alaska succeed.

His personal interests are also broad. With his wife and three sons, he enjoys playing outside (from Frisbee to camping), exploring nature (birds and flowers to fossils), and reading and participating in talks and workshops (did we say he is a natural educator?). Reising also enjoys cooking and playing guitar. You might catch him throwing out some dance moves, when the music is right.
