Arctic Energy Office Seeks Permanent Director
The Arctic Energy Office is seeking a permanent director. The position is based in Fairbanks, Alaska or Washington, D.C. George Roe has held the role of interim director since October 2020.
The Arctic Energy Office serves as the principal advisor to the Under Secretary for Science and Innovation at the U.S. Department of Energy on all domestic Arctic issues, including energy, science, and national security. AEO has the primary responsibility for coordinating efforts across the U.S. Department of Energy’s program offices and National Laboratories to ensure a unified voice on all Arctic issues.
