FALL 2022
When Mark Herrmann announced his decision to step down, and in the process of seeking a dean for CBSM, the search committee was determined to find someone who would be a hands-on, inspirational, and collaborative leader for the college’s academic, teaching, and research enterprise, interested in the development of our students and with an unwavering and proven commitment to the values of CBSM. At the time of the announcement, Cam was the associate dean, and the director of the Center for Arctic Security and Resilience (CASR).

I have had a crash course in not only what the BLOY acronym stands for but also what
an event of this caliber entails.

As a development officer, sometimes you find donors, and other times donors find you. Such is the case for the Johnson Scholarship Foundation. In the summer of 2021, while we were all very much still wearing masks, three JSF representatives flew up from Florida. Not knowing what to expect, it was all hands on deck with representatives from several CBSM programs sharing what we do and how we shape students’ lives.
