Assistantships

Research and teaching assistantships are awarded to qualified graduate students by each program. CFOS students are awarded a research or teaching assistantship usually at the time they are admitted into their graduate program.

Masters and Ph.D. students receiving a graduate research assistantships generally receive a stipend plus benefits. Teaching assistantships usually include a tuition payment by the university, depending on workload. Research assistantships usually include a tuition payment by grants/contracts, also depending on workload.

Tuition supplements may be used for tuition only.  All fees are the responsibility of the student unless the department or grant makes other arrangements with UAF Business Office prior to registration.
