Dr. Todd Radenbaugh

Professor of Environmental Science, Emeritus

WHEREAS Dr. Todd Radenbaugh served the ÌÀÄ·ÊÓƵ with distinction in teaching, research and public service from 2006 until his death in 2020; and

WHEREAS Dr. Radenbaugh was a dynamic, highly rated teacher who developed and taught a variety of geography, geoscience, environmental and biology classes at the Bristol Bay Campus; and the only class he missed in 15 years of teaching was on the day of his passing; and

WHEREAS Dr. Radenbaugh built the only environmental science lab in the Bristol Bay region; and he studied and published research on isopods and the sea-bottom habitat of Bristol Bay; and he made dozens of presentations at scientific conferences; and

WHEREAS Dr. Radenbaugh founded the Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Association and organized its annual conferences; and he frequently organized and presented at several other science and science education conferences; and he organized educational events for youths, such as the Bristol Bay Salmon Camp on Lake Aleknagik; and he consulted for Bristol Bay organizations and served on the board of the Nushagak Electric and Telephone Cooperative;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the ÌÀÄ·ÊÓƵ expresses its deep appreciation to Dr. Todd Radenbaugh for his extensive contributions to the State of Alaska and to the University; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ÌÀÄ·ÊÓƵ, in further recognition of the invaluable services rendered by Dr. Radenbaugh and as evidence of the University’s desire that his identification with the University be maintained, hereby salutes the posthumous recognition of Dr. Todd Radenbaugh as Professor of Environmental Science, Emeritus; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be appropriately engrossed and signed by the Chancellor of the ÌÀÄ·ÊÓƵ as further evidence of the esteem and respect in which he holds Dr. Todd Radenbaugh, and conveyed to Dr. Radenbaugh’s representative on this first day of May, 2021.
