Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance

The Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance Shop provides diagnostic services as well as maintenance and repairs of the university vehicle fleet, consisting of approximately 300 vehicles and equipment. The staff of mechanics maintains heavy-duty trucks, light-duty trucks, passenger vehicles, emergency vehicles and other types of equipment, such as forklifts, golf carts, lawn mowers, emergency generators and tractors. The preventive maintenance program requires that all university vehicles be serviced regularly.

The services provided by the Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance Shop include the following:

  • Preventative maintenance inspections
  • Oil changes
  • Brake service
  • Transmission service
  • Coolant system flush
  • Diagnostics
  • Most other minor and major repairs
