Arctic Education Alliance visits UAF Interior Alaska Campus

Representatives from the will visit the ÌÀÄ·ÊÓƵ and other areas of interest in the state Aug. 15-19. 

Launched by the U.S. Department of State in 2020, the alliance seeks to improve Greenland's ability to educate people for jobs in  land and fisheries management and sustainable tourism.

Representatives from UAF, the and the planned to meet in Fairbanks on  Aug. 15 after a week of visiting educational institutions and tourism spots in southern Maine.

The group plans to gather at the UAF Interior Alaska Campus for discussions with UAF faculty members regarding workforce development in the Arctic. Participants will then travel around the state visiting fisheries and tourism centers, including Kantishna Lodge at Denali National Park, Anaktuvuk Pass and Chena Hot Springs.
