A successful advising and student services training summit was held in September on the Troth Yeddha' Campus. With support from the College of Rural and Community Development and the Vice Chancellor's Office of Rural, Community and Native Education, this event brought advisors traveling from all of UAF's five rural campuses. The three-and-a-half-day training experience gathered approximately thirty College of Rural and Community Development student support staff and advisors to learn, network, and grow together.

Training paired with group dialogue was shared by the Office of Admissions, Academic Advising, Student Support Services, Rural Student Services, Enrollment, Registrar, Financial Aid, Disability Services, ORCA, Bursar's Office, CTC Programming and Allied Health, Career Services, CRCD Marketing and University Relations, Nanook Navigator, eCampus, Office of Dual Enrollment and Green Dot.

University-wide networking was also offered at the training summit. Advisors across Troth Yeddha' came together for lunch in the Wood Center. On the last morning, a brunch was shared with colleagues from the College of Rural and Community Development business and the Dean's office.

This inaugural advisor training summit offered a rare and impactful opportunity for staff to connect in-depth as an organized advising unit.
