STEM fellowships available for education students

Education students: create a series of STEM lessons and you could earn $2,500! You must be an elementary or secondary teacher education student doing a classroom practicum. Students are encouraged to incorporate NASA education materials in all classrooms, including visual and performing arts, social studies, health and physical education, and the humanities. Friday Focus: Historic ties between UAF and veterans

Today is Veterans Day. Veterans are essential to what we have been and are essential to what we will be. This day of honor and recognition is about taking a moment to feel and express gratitude as we contemplate this generous gift of service. This specific date is rooted in the end of the First World War. Originally known as Armistice Day, the date was chosen to commemorate the armistice agreement which ended the First World War effective on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Just as this day is rooted in the end of that historic conflict, UAF's origins are tied to its beginning.
