    Provost Anupma Prakash has appointed Karsten Hueffer to serve as the acting dean of the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. Hueffer is a tenured professor and CNSM associate dean for veterinary medicine. He joined the UAF faculty in 2006. Hueffer will take over for Kinchel Doerner, who served as CNSM dean for the last three years. Doerner resigned earlier this month.
